Heiko Bauer finished his studies with a Diploma degree in 2008 in the group of Prof. Helmut Sitzmann at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (Title: "Vinylferrocene"). He went on with his PhD in the group of Prof. Helmut Sitzmann, which he could finish successfully in 2013 with a thesis about "Alkylcyclopentadienyl complexes of iron, nickel and zirconium". To continue his research about alkylcyclopentadienyl complexes, he staid one year further at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, before moving to the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2014, where he is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Sjoerd Harder (Inorganic and Metalorganic Chemistry).
